Mainly dry weather in J&K, brief spell of rain at isolated places towards late afternoon or evening: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Monday forecast mainly dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, Currently the weather is mainly dry in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions of the Union Territory.

He said, Today, the weather will remain mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir. However, a brief spell of rain may occur at isolated places in Kashmir region towards late afternoon or evening.

Mainly dry weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from July 11-14, 2023. A brief spell of rain or thunderstorm at isolated places can’t be ruled out he said.

Intermittent light to moderate rain is expected at many places of Jammu and Kashmir from July 15-16, 2023, he said.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 17.2°C, Anantnag and Kokernag each 14.2°C, Qazigund 14.5°C, Kupwara 15.2°C, Gulmarg 9.0°C and Pahalgam 10.3°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Monday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 23.8°C, Katra 21.3°C, Batote 14.4°C, Bhaderwah 14.3°C, Banihal 13.3°C, Udhampur 21.9°C and Patnitop N/A as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 5.2°C and Kargil 9.2°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
