Manpreet Singh Mani holds Bharat Jodo preparatory meeting in North Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Manpreet Singh Mani on Thursday held Bharat Jodo preparatory meeting in North Kashmir. He conducted series of meetings to review ongoing preparations for the upcoming Bharat Jodo Yatra.

All India Youth Congress Joint Secretary Manpreet Singh Mani conducted a day long tour and met with members to hold detailed discussion on the arrangements in Baramulla and Langate.

The meeting was organised by District Youth Congress Presidents, Indian Youth Congress Joint Secretary who was accompanied by Shoaib Magrey President Pulwama.

Attended by various youth leaders, local members and residents, the meeting finalised the further plan of action for the youth members in J&K for smooth execution of the yatra.

Addressing the media, Mani said that meeting with the people in Baramulla and Langate Constituency of Kupwara district has made it clear, that they want to walk on the path of unity with the Congress party and the party leader Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji in the yatra.

They have numerous challenges which remain unaddressed by those in power, particularly the Centre, which had revoked statehood with the promise of progress. This disappointment and resentment with the Centre will find voice in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said.

Mani further explained that the objective of Youth Congress to mobilise maximum people for the yatra and spread this message to all parts of Jammu and Kashmir, so that everyone can find the opportunity to become part of this mass movement. To achieve this objective, Indian Youth Congress Joint Secretary along with his fellow President Youth Congress office bearers have been touring various districts across the Union Territory to interact with local members.

DCC Baramulla Mir Fayaz, BDC Member Mir Iqbal, Congress leader Sheikh Aamir, Congress leader Irshad Ganai, DYC President Baramulla Zubair, DYC President Kupwara Mudasir Teli among others were also present in the meeting. — (KIMS)
