MeT forecasts rain, thundershowers in J&K for next 24 hours

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Friday forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and cloudy in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Light/moderate rain and thundershowers likely in J&K during next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 7.9 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 3.2 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Friday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 15.1 degrees Celsius, Katra 12.6 degrees Celsius, Batote 8.6 degrees Celsius, Banihal 7.8 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 7.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded 2.5 degrees Celsius while Drass and Leh recorded minus 2.7 degrees Celsius and minus 1.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
