Month on, J&K Bank’s Tulail unit closed due to technical issue; Customers suffer

GUREZ — Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch unit at Badugam, a remote area of Tulail in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district continues to remain closed for routine functioning since last one month, causing a huge inconvenience to the bank account holders.

The locals while complaining about the grievance said that the unit of Jammu and Kashmir Bank located at Badugam has been closed for the last one month due to some technical issue thus affecting the account holders there.

“Even all the business-related transactions have been badly affected,” they said, adding that they have appraised the civil administration about the issue, but no one has shown much interest towards them.

“Due to the bank closure we have been affected here for the last one month. The bank administration should take action as soon as possible keeping in view our concerns,” Muneeb Ahmad, a local, said.

Meanwhile, an official posted at Gurez said that there are some technical issues. “Network engineer could not be airlifted from Srinagar due to non-availability of sorties due to bad weather still the issue will be solved at the earliest,” he said. — (KNO)
