Owner of house used for immoral activities in Srinagar arrested, house to be attached: Police

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The owner of the residential house that was used by some persons for immoral activities in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of Srinagar has been arrested, Police said on Tuesday.

Police said that the owner of the residential house namely Altaf Hussain Afaki, son of Asadullah Afaki, a resident of Chanapora Srinagar has been arrested under section 3 of Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act 1956 (ITPA).

They said that the proceedings have been started for the formal attachment/sealing of the residential house as per section 18 of Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act (ITPA).

On Monday evening, Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a prostitution (flesh trade) racket in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of Srinagar and arrested eight persons including four women. — (KIMS)
