SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday said they have attached an immovable property worth around ₹1 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler in Anantnag district in connection with a narcotics case registered in Srinagar.
According to a police statement, the attached property is a residential house belonging to Aamir Hassan Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Bonpora Dupatyar Bijbehara.
Police said the house is constructed on land bearing Khasra No. 134 situated at Bonpora Dupatyar in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district and has an estimated market value of approximately ₹1 crore.
The action was carried out under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 17/2026 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Shergari Srinagar.
Police said the attachment proceedings were executed in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Bijbehara after completion of all legal formalities.
The statement added that the attached property cannot be sold, transferred or otherwise dealt with without prior permission of the competent authority.
Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment towards dismantling narcotics networks and taking strict legal action against persons involved in drug trafficking and related activities. — (KIMS)
