Police Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani succumbs month after injured in Srinagar militant attack

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — A Jammu and Kashmir Police Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, who was injured in a militant attack in Srinagar on October 29 has succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

He succumbed to his injures at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in New Delhi.

Masroor Ahmad Wani, an Inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police was injured after he was fired upon and shot at by militants in Eidgah area of Srinagar city on October 29.

He was playing Cricket with locals at Eidgah ground when the incident happened.

Soon after the incident, Masroor was shifted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura for treatment.

Later, he was shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in New Delhi for specialized treatment, however he succumbed today. — (KIMS)
