SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday rebutted the news of an encounter in the Lakdipora area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir circulating on social media platforms.
“A fake news is being circulated on social media platforms that an encounter has started at Lakdipora. It is fake & baseless; no such incident has taken place,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a post on X.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police also requested people not to pay heed to rumors and said, “Rumour mongers shall be dealt with strictly under the law.” — (KIMS)
