Dry weather conditions to prevail in J&K until April 10; rain, snow from April 11: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Dry weather conditions are expected to prevail in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till April 10, followed by rain and snow from April 11, the Meteorological Department (MeT) said on Saturday.

“The weather forecast indicates generally dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir from April 6-10,” an official of the Meteorological Department said.

“From April 11-12, cloudy weather is expected with light rain or snow at isolated places, and from April 13-15, there will be intermittent light rain or snow at many places of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 4.5°C, Qazigund 2.5°C, Kupwara 2.7°C, Kokernag 3.8°C, Gulmarg 1.0°C, and Pahalgam minus 0.9°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 17.1°C, Katra 15.0°C, Batote 8.5°C, Bhaderwah 4.8°C and Banihal 5.8°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 0.3°C and Kargil minus 0.2°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
