Rain, snow likely in J&K in next 48 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department office on Friday said that rain and snow is likely to occur in Jammu and Kashmir in the next 48 hours.

“Rain and snow is likely to occur in J&K during the next 48 hours,” IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.

He said, Srinagar recorded minus 5.5 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 8.6 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg minus 5.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature today.

In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 3.7 degrees Celsius, Katra 4.6 degrees Celsius, Batote 3.6 degrees Celsius, Banihal 5.4 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 0.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region he said, Kargil recorded minus 18.1 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 14.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
