Record room of Govt School in Bandipora gutted in mysterious fire, Police starts investigation

SRINAGAR — A record room of the Government Middle School Malpora Nowgam in Sumbal Sonawari area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district was gutted in mysterious fire incidents on Wednesday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that in a mysterious fire incident a record room of Government middle school Malpora Nowgam was damaged during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Locals of the area said how fire broke out from the office when the school building had no electricity. “This mysterious fire incident must be investigated thoroughly”.

A police official confirmed the incident to Kashmir Dot Com and said the whole record of the school has been gutted in this fire incident. “We are investigating all angles of how fire has erupted from the office of the school. “It seems a deliberate attempt to destroy the school record,” he said

A case under relevant section of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, he added. — (KDC)
