SRINAGAR — At least seven shops were gutted in a fire incident in Maisuma area of Srinagar on Friday morning, news agency KDC reported.
According to the report, the fire broke out in a shopping complex owned by Khursheed Ahmed Dar in which six shops were gutted completely while one shop suffered partial damage.
The fire broke out at 3:35 AM that was put out by firefighters with the help of police and locals. Four shops were gutted on the first floor while the rest of the 3 shops were damaged on the 3rd floor of the complex, KDC quoted one of the affected shopkeepers as having said.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
