Srinagar Police seizes vehicle of drug peddler acquired from narcotics trade

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — While continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized a vehicle acquired through proceeds of illegal narcotics trade in Srinagar district of Kashmir valley on Tuesday.

“A vehicle bearing Registration Number JK01J 7081, acquired through proceeds of illegal narcotics trade was seized from two drug peddlers namely Asif Ahmad Sheikh, and Arif Ahmad Sheikh — both residents of Babapora Barthana,” police said in a statement.

“Both the accused persons have been arrested in vide case FIR no.136/2024 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Parimpora,” the statement said.

“The seizure of vehicle has been made under the provisions of section 68 of NDPS Act,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
