Surinder Singh Channi slammed lack of basic facilities in Tral, demands redressal of public issues

PULWAMA — The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Monday slammed JK Govt for failing to mitigate pubic issues in Tral area of Pulwama District and demanded LG’s intervention to address the people’s issues.

JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi during day long tour of Tral Pulwama expressed serious concern over the negligent attitude of the Govt towards the people of Tral, who have been suffering badly on various counts especially on development front.

Channi said the work on mini Secretariat Tral started has in 2017, but the executive agency and the administration have miserably failed to complete the work, knowing that Tral has population of 1.50 lack, the Govt has not been able to make mini secretariat operational and ensure other facilities concern people there.

He also slammed the drainage system in Tral Town and said people are facing hardships on this count also as the little blockade in drains close the roads especially during rains and snowfall, which has to be addressed to ensure hassle-free movement of common people.

Expressing serious concern over lack of health infrastructure in Tral, Channi said Aripal hospital building is in worst condition, which could cause damage as it is very unsafe and demanded that the hospital should be shifted to newly constructed building, besides the Rathsun Health Centre which is ready should be made operational to ensure respite to common people.

PCC General Secretary urged the Govt to provide Womens College to Tral Sub District, as the students have to seek admission in other districts, which is causing huge inconvenience to them, given the topography of the Tral Segment Govt has to ensure that people do not suffer on account of developmental at local level, he added and sought intervention of the LG to address the issues concerning people in Tral. — (KIMS)
