Two non-local labourers injured in Anantnag attack

SRINAGAR — Two non-local labourers were injured after suspected militants fired upon them at Rakh-Momin area of Bijbehara town in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Friday evening.

Police said that two non-local labourers were fired upon by militants at Rakh-Momin area of Bijbehara Anantnag, leaving them injured.

They said the duo were taken to nearby hospital for treatment where from doctors referred them to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment.

The duo have been identified as Chota Prasad from Gorakhpur and Gobind from Khushinagar area of Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, government forces have cordoned off entire area to nab the attackers.

Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#Militants fired upon & injured two outside labourers in Rakh-Momin area of #Anantnag. Both the injured are being shifted to hospital for treatment. Area being #cordoned off. Further details shall follow.” — (KIMS)
