Two notorious drug peddlers detained under PIT NDPS Act in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday detained two notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act in Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir.

“Two notorious drug peddlers identified as Danish Ahmad Dar, son of Gh Mohd Dar of Wakura Ganderbal and Shahjehan Ahmad Parrah, son of Nazir Ahmad Parrah of Zazna Ganderbal were detained for their involvement in drug peddling targeting the youths after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority in Ganderbal,” police said in a statement.

“They have been detained and lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu and District Jail Udhampur respectively,” the statement said.

Ganderbal Police is fully committed towards protecting the society from the menace of drugs.

“These detentions are a step forward in dismantling the networks responsible for spreading this menace,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
