SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast light to moderate rain at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.
The weather will improve from today as there will be a gradual decrease in precipitation from today onwards.
The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during last 24 hours as rains lashed Jammu and Kashmir.
An official of the Meteorological Department said, Light to moderate rain is likely in J&K at scattered places during the next 24 hours.
He said, Srinagar and Pahalgam recorded 7.9 degrees Celsius and 2.6 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 0.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.
In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 18.5 degrees Celsius, Katra 16.2 degrees Celsius, Batote 9.1 degrees Celsius, Banihal 8.5 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 8.9 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded minus 0.4 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 1.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
