Govt constitutes six-member committee to identify foreign nationals illegally staying in J&K

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a six-member committee to identify foreign nationals illegally staying in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir since 2011.

The Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Raj Kumar Goyal has been appointed as the Chairman while Foreigners Regional Registration Officer, (FRRO) BOL, Amritsar, Punjab, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Special Branch, Jammu, Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Special Branch, Srinagar, All District SSPs/SPs (FRO) and State Coordinator, IVFRT, NIC, J&K have been appointed as members of the committee.

The Committee shall prepare monthly report of missing foreigners in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and submit the same to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India by 7th of every month. — (KIMS)
