MeT forecasts intermittent rain in Kashmir valley

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast intermittent rain in Kashmir valley for next 24 hours while the sky will remain mainly clear in Jammu region.

The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, mainly clear sky in Jammu while intermittent rain or snow is likely in the Kashmir valley during next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar and Pahalgam recorded 6.9 degrees Celsius and 3.2 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 0.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 13.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 11.5 degrees Celsius, Batote 7.3 degrees Celsius, Banihal 6.5 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 6.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 0.2 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 2.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
